Mr. Spawn is a graduate of Colgate University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2012) and Rutgers Law School (J.D., 2016). While in law school, Mr. Spawn served as Administrative Editor of the Rutgers Law Review and President of the Rutgers Intellectual Property Law Society. During his time with the Rutgers Community and Transactional Lawyering Clinic, Mr. Spawn was responsible for handling guardianship matters and facilitating the formation of new business entities. Additionally, as an intern for Richard J. Greenstone, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, Mr. Spawn gained experience working on a wide array of entertainment and transactional matters. Mr. Spawn also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable James S. Rothschild, J.S.C, Civil Division, Essex County (Business Litigation Track).
Since joining Kozyra & Hartz, LLC, Mr. Spawn has maintained a diverse civil litigation practice (pleading, discovery, motion, trial and appeal), which has included commercial and business litigation law; LLC, corporate and partnership disputes; estate law; employment law; malpractice claims (legal, accounting, and medical); and various types of personal injury matters, such as product liability, motor vehicle/pedestrian accidents, and premises liability claims. Mr. Spawn also has experience representing alleged incapacitated persons in guardianship proceedings and representing clients in connection with intellectual property and trademark disputes. Mr. Spawn is currently admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Spawn is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association, and New York State Bar Association.
