On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Judith A. Hartz was a moderator for a joint seminar presented by the Essex County Bar Association and the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association. The program was “Professional & Ethical Implications of Gender Bias in the Practice of Law.” Ms. Hartz and the panelists discussed raising awareness of gender bias in the legal profession in New Jersey and ways to address it. Prior to introducing the distinguished panel of female judges and accomplished attorneys, she took the 70 guests in attendance on a walk through women’s struggles throughout history to establish their place in the legal community.
