Barry Kozyra Appears As Panelist At ECBA's Law Office Management CLE Program

Barry A. Kozyra appeared as a Panelist for the Essex County Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Program on Law Office Management: Starting a Practice and Managing an Existing Practice to Success. Mr. Kozyra and other Panel members from various professional fields discussed starting up your own practice, ethical and professional issues related to bank accounts, law firm accounting, employment and human resources, and advertising and marketing, and technology tips to achieve maximum efficiency for a law firm and its clients in today's competitive economic environment.

Judith Hartz Serves As Moderator At Statewide Professionalism Day

On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Judith A. Hartz was a moderator for a joint seminar presented by the Essex County Bar Association and the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association. The program was "Professional & Ethical Implications of Gender Bias in the Practice of Law." Ms. Hartz and the panelists discussed raising awareness of gender bias in the legal profession in New Jersey and ways to address it. Prior to introducing the distinguished panel of female judges and accomplished attorneys, she took the 70 guests in attendance on a walk through women's struggles throughout history to establish their place in the legal community. Dear Friends and Colleagues: On behalf of Kozyra & Hartz, LLC, the Red Cross and the Nutley Family Service Bureau, we want to thank you and all of the other attendees and respondents for your participation in our 2012 Wine Down & Food Drive. As always, it was a pleasure to see old friends and meet new ones and to introduce you to each other in a relaxed and festive atmosphere where we can talk to each other, but it is especially rewarding when we can share our good fortune with others. You helped us raise needed cash donations and deliver a carload of food for the needy, which will be available for the upcoming holidays and in the weeks after for those in need. On Friday, September 14, 2012, Barry A. Kozyra and Judith A. Hartz appeared as guest speakers to lecture on: Techniques for Proving the Family Law Case: Using Forensics to Present a Winning Hand. Mr. Kozyra explained how to use third party sources to prove aspects of the case. Among other sources of information, he discussed the importance of loan, mortgage, and credit applications, financial statements, accountant work papers, and bankruptcy petitions, as well as examples of case law.
